This past Saturday my phone drowned in a pool. I have a new replacement coming to me but not until Wednesday (we are making that long story short). I realized this evening, though I was busy working on photography stuff, I really missed having my cell phone.
It was nice Sunday to not have the phone. Monday, was a little of a challenge just in coordination to go get a new cell phone, but it was all good, and then having to make phone calls to people before I go anywhere. So I was late to places, well later than usual. I guess I do drive and talk pretty often. It was nice though, not being able to be gotten a hold of though. haha. But then when I had to run an errand during work and if I got lost, since I didn't know where the place was at, I was going to be out of luck. I didn't have any way to call someone at work to find out where to go. But I did not get lost. So that was okay. But what a security blanket my phone is and I didn't even realize it.
I just wanted to willingly admit that I rely on my phone far more than I probably should. I miss it. But I see this as a growing and learning experience. And I will be forced to make long overdue phone calls to friends to get even more friends numbers to get even more friends numbers. But I'm okay with that. I'll be the jerk friend that calls a friend I haven't talk to in a while just to get phone numbers out of them! haha! :)
Now that you've read this. Pick up your phone and some how, if you haven't already saved your phone numbers that you thought you would never loose or that you thought you would never call again, and SAVE THEM.
