My Three Nieces

but I just can't help that I love this one!

So crazy that she is almost a year old.

Tina Fey and 30 Rock

I LOVE this show! Because I love Tina Fey. This woman is a comic genius. She created, produces, writes and stars in 30 Rock. It has the best little moments of quips and "uh...did they just say that, because that was awesome." The writing is soooo smart and sooo funny.

So we know that they just won an Emmy for best comedy series and got robbed else where but the one I'm most bummed about which is a double edge sword is that Tina Fey didn't win for best writing in a comedy series. Greg Daniels did for The Office. Which we all know I love.

I bought the first season and I told my office, "Remember how I made you all watch 'How I Met Your Mother' and now you all love it? Well here is the next show you are going to thank me for making you watch. Welcome to '30 Rock'." Aaaand guess what, I was right. I have joined more people to the ranks for the love of 30 Rock and the gem that is Tina Fey.

Her character Liz Lemmon. Any single woman can relate to Liz. Well actually she can relate to all women, not just single women. Why? Because she is so well written! :) One of my favorite moments is when Liz goes to a bar with Jenna to try and meet other men after a break up. She is sitting at the bar sipping on a drink and a guy tries to sit down next to her but she rebuffs him because she doesn't realize he's trying to pick up on her and he walks away just baffled. Jenna then says, "why did you do that Liz?! He was trying to buy you a drink!" Liz, "I already have a drink. Do you think he'd buy me mozzarella sticks?" HAHA! Soooo funny!

Michael Buble in concert

Laura and I saw Michael Buble in concert July 14th at MGM. I realized the other day as I was organizing some pictures that I never posted anything from this AMAZING concert. I was SUPER EXCITED to FINALLY see him in concert. And he is as good as I thought he would be. Buble is just an amazing entertainer.

If you like his stuff and are just not sure if it's worth the money to see him in concert...oh boy...people...it's worth it! :) Just some random pictures from the show (the ones that were more in focus with my P&S, we were a bit of a ways back, haha).

Surfers, Ruby's, flip flops and a nice breeze while you feel the sand between your toes. Not much more you can ask for.

where do you work?

People ask me all the time "where do you work?" since they know I do photography but that it's not my only job. So Monday-Friday here is where I work...here is my desk! :) This is where I work! I work for an interior design and architecture firm. I just had my four year anniversary with my company in August. It's crazy that I've been here that long!

This hasn't always been my desk. I was up front for quite a while, but now I get a view of the brick building next door to us...but if I look to my left and stand up to see over my push pin board divider I can see outside to a nice court yard area with water and trees etc.

So yeah.

California Trip

I went on a long weekend trip with a good friend about a month ago. We had an AMAZING time. The weather was the B-E-S-T part of the trip. I absolutely loved it. After going to California a lot more recently over the past few years, I've come to realize, especially after this trip, that my favorite beach is Huntington Beach. I'll post pictures I took at the beach in a different post.




We did enjoy Disneyland and California Adventure, but for the most part did nothing and yet did everything we wanted to do.

Here are a few pictures.

WILD CATS! Woohooo! My first real introduction to High School Musical. It was cute. The little kids got to dance with them, they "played" basketball. It was really cute 10-ish minute show.

Right after the big "splash" on Splash Mountain, we got stuck. The logs got backed up. They had to walk us out of the ride, outside behind the ride in the back lots, and then back out front. It was a bummer and yet cool, because how often do you get to do that right?

Then we got stuck on it's a small world. We were waiting and waiting, and realized we weren't really moving, of course right when we done with the ride and out in the sun. So after a good 20 minutes, or at least it felt close to that, they had to help us off the boats and walk us out of the ride. But this time, no back lots or anything. Disneyland was not having a good day with the rides I guess! ha!

This. This is...hold on, I'm getting verklempt. Tawlk amongst yourselves. I'll give you a towpic. The Holy Roman Empire. Neither holy nor Roman. Discuss.

Okay.

It's passed.

This people was the best piece of meat I've ever had in my LIFE! And I'm telling you folks, we were meant to eat here! We walked up and down Downtown Disney trying to decide where to eat and we stopped at ESPN Zone and the wait was over an hour, so we thought, why not go to a new place if we have to wait that long. Here is where Jazz Kitchen come into play.




We walked up to put our name on the list. The girl took our name and then one of her bosses walked up and said, "ya know...let's just sit them now." She said, "that never happens, you two are sooo lucky."

We sat down, and about an hour later, this is what my plate looked like. It was amazing. We sat outside on the "porch". People watched, we got to watch some fireworks from Disneyland, and listened to live jazz music while sitting among beautiful weather.

Here is a picture of Disney California. I just think of how relaxed I was that day. It was so nice.

Yet another quirky event!

Quirky things happen to me here and there. Just odd, quirky things. Probably because, at times, I'm quirky.

Definition of quirky (well, quirk, but go with it):
1.) A peculiarity of behavior; an idiosyncrasy

2.) An unpredictable or unaccountable act or event; a vagary: a quirk of fate.

3.) A sudden sharp turn or twist.

This is more definition #2.

So I ordered a lil' suttin (<--something. just trying to sound cool) at Amazon, for a wedding gift...which they will love, The Office seasons 1 and 2. My fellow co-worker who went in on the gift with me asked, "hey, have you tracked the package yet?" as it is suppose to be delivered by Friday to our office. So I get on Amazon. Start looking it up and right when I get to the page that shows it's tracking...I see that it is enroute in Las Vegas. I turn to my co-worker and say, "Oh good, it should be here soon!" and suddenly, I-KID-YOU-NOT...

BAM!

The smiling Amazon box we all know and love is sitting next to me on my desk. I look at the box, surprised, of course, and look up to see the beloved UPS guy that I have become buddies with, standing there smiling at me. Completely proud of his delivery amazingness!

How does that happen? Seriously! It was like a "Field of Dreams-If you will build it" moment! I usually don't have the best online delivery moments. Nothing I've ever ordered has ever come at the time/day it says it will, and yet, today, I got the total other end of the spectrum. Delivered right to my desk, right when I was asking for it.
