30 Rock, ROCKS!!

I L-O-V-E 30 Rock!! I also really LOVE Tina Fey. How could you not! This woman is a comic genius! Any person that for some reason needs convincing to watch this show thanks me later. So there is no point in arguing with me about it.

The new season starts next week Thursday, on NBC at 9:30!

BUT, if you can't wait here is a sneak peek of the season premiere:

If you go to the NBC 30 Rock website you can check out other episodes or to my new favorite website (not necessarily a new website) Hulu.com They have a TON of videos for your viewing pleasure. Like for instance one of my favorite episodes from last season "Sandwich Day":

Sara B - Live!!!

I love Sara Bareilles. I think if you go back to a previous post, you will see, I've been a supportive fan! She came in town a while ago, opening for James Blunt. And well, I was not planning on going to that concert. I was sorely disappointed what I thought was my only chance this year to see her live, in town.

Well a few weekends ago, she had her own headlining tour! And an awesome opener to boot! Marc Broussard!

So here are some pictures, from my iPhone (aka=blurry)from the show. I forgot, since it's been ages since I've been to a concert which venues are cool with cameras. Well The Joint at Hard Rock is one that is. Shucks.

Marc B.

Aaand Sara B!!! :)
Okay, see these guys at the bottom of this picture, the one on the left...not a cool person at all. Here are a few reason why:
1) Five minutes before Sara comes on, he lead himself, girlfriend and two other people through the crowd of people that had been waiting all night, got there early to be near the front and shove his way to the front and made a couple of people so upset that they left their prime spots because he wouldn't budge. He was in their face and pretty jerky to them. It was really crappy of him to do that.
2) the crowd shifted after the first couple songs and he ended up basically behind me and Lani. So we got to see him white boy dance and white boy "woot" and obstruct our view due to both.
3) I save the worst for last...like I said, he brought his girlfriend, and they brought their PDA. It was R-I-D-I-C-U-L-O-U-S! They were all over each other, and the worst part, she was pretty short and he had a goatee. So if his hands weren't all up in her hair, it was attached to his goatee. It was gross! Their worst PDA moment was when she jumped into his arms and had her legs wrapped around his waist (I'm not kidding) and they were making out, spit, hair all over the place, just gross and they only got into this moment was because the song was slow and romantic "sounding" but the song was about breaking up and heartache! HELLLOOOOO!
Sara playing a guitar. She also played a ukulele in her encore. She's awesome!
There were a few other crazies in the section of crowd we were standing in. It was nuts.

This last picture is during the most sentimental song for me on her cd, "Gravity". Actually the whole album is attached to a very important part of my life. It's such a good album. If you seriously have not gone out and bought it yet, what are you waiting for!

Warning...!

I was at the store finding a gift for my niece's birthday, I saw this really cool Play-Doh ice cream maker and thought it was super cool.

Then I saw this on a back of a toy and couldn't stop chuckling.

[Fun to play with, but not to eat.] It's fun to play with kiddos, but not very fun to eat! hahahaha! So funny.

(sorry they are blurry, I was laughing too much to hold still for a steady picture with my iPhone, which is key!)

Kealani is 5!!

What? Yeah. I didn't notice until my older brother pointed them out. They didn't notice they bought the wrong package until they started blowing up the balloons! :) hahaha! I loved it! (hopefully they saved some, Kaitlin turns 2 at the end of this month)

The BIRTHDAY GIRL! And her many goofy faces. I love seeing how she is growing. It's a bit surreal only because it's like looking back with adult eyes now how I looked and sometimes acted as a little girl.

Decorating cookies!

The lil' sister, Kaitlin. In the past she has been a quiet shy thing and then this trip, she was out of her shell, talking and such a fun little girl. I really enjoyed my time getting to know her better (if that makes sense).

Speaking of personality. This was hilarious! Kaitlin was mad at her mom for leaving to go to the store and leaving her at home. When she came back, this was the look she was giving her mom. We couldn't stop laughing. Five minutes later she was over it. But it was so funny that she could stare you down! hahaha!

Kealani has more leg than she knows what to do with! We like to call them sticks! ;P She is going to be nothing but legs when she gets older.

Just two sisters, coloring.

Kealani got "ten WHOLE dollars" for her birthday to put in her piggy bank savings. This is her showing everyone one of her presents from her mom and dad.

I can never get a picture of my older brother. He dodges me like crazy. Well his guard was down when he was hugging his birthday girl. Gotcha bro!

Teri did such a good job on the birthday cake, she always does. SO cute!

Let me preface these last two pictures. Kaitlin from the beginning has not taken well to any guy other than her dad. And sometimes no girl other than her mom, buuut she was more willing to come to a girl, especially to get away from a guy she didn't want to be held by. Slowly but surely she was getting a little bit better with Grandpa. I kinda forgot about all that and I was holding her and I saw something I wanted to take a picture of. Grandpa was the closest person to me, so I just passed her off to him. She sat on his lap and did nothing. She was just fine. No crying, no looking around for an escape she was fine and just as I was about to turn away from the pair to go get my picture my dad whispers loudly, "LOOORI! Get a PIC-TUUURE!" hahahaha. It was awesome.

So Grandpa couldn't help but steal a kiss while she sat on his lap. It's one of my favorite moments of the day.

Sorry, that was kinda long. I cut myself off. I had more! :)

Childhood Candy

My mom can make a good number of Asian dishes. So here and there she would have to go to the small grocery stores that had nothing but food that catered to Asian dishes, and a lot of the time those foods would only be found in these stores. Whenever she went, or if we tagged along, for as long as I can remember, my mom would buy us rice candy.

Whaaaat? Rice? As a candy? Yep. They are chewy and just fun to eat! They were a real treat for us as kids. Not too long ago, my sister found some of these yummy candies at a store and bought some. When she gave it to me, a flood of memories of eating these as a kid came back to me and just thinking how special they were.

On the box, it says it comes with a sticker. And we LOOOOVED to compare and swap stickers, but in the box my sister gave me, it had a rub on tattoo. Booo! I guess the candy surprises/toys are changing with the times. It's so sad.

Grandma and Grandpa Wong bought the oldest granddaughter a red wagon for her 5th birthday. And she went for a ride with her little sister.

More fun pictures from the birthday party to follow.
