FIBA Basketball

Carmelo! BlaaDOW! (is that how you spell that?)

I've been watchinig the games on tv, feeling a little bummed that I'm not there. Hellooo! It's here in Vegas, why am I not down there! haha. But the games have been getting better as the days have gone on....and yet, no one can touch team USA. The over 20 point deficit of course does not make the game a "nail biter" but it is still exciting to see other teams try so hard! :)
The best part is hearing the commentators say "ya know, you just gotta tell your team to not look at the score board and just keep at it! Just keep pushing hard, or else you are just not going to play as hard as you want to when you see how far you are from getting even close to possibly catching up to USA." hahaha.
Gotta love it.
Tonight USA plays Uruguay. Tomorrow, USA plays Argentina, who is the other team that is undefeated along with the US. I'm excited for that game.
I'm there! :) Responsibility? Work? Not procrastinating? Psh! What's that? hahaha.

FIBA Americas Basketball Game

FIBA - We Are Basketball.

word.

Thursday. USA competed against...um...maybe that's not the right word...played, is that the right word? Maybe swept the floor? schooled? Well anyway...they played against the Virgin Islands. The nighted ended with a score of 123-59. Poor Virgin Islands. Their shots were just not droppin' in the hole. But I also think they were a bit intimidated by the ballers we call team USA. It was awesome. I just enjoy watching athletes that know their sport and play it so well. Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony, Dwight Howard, and Jason Kidd people! C'mon! I might as well put the whole team roster on here. We are talking about some players that we are all about!

The first period was just the beginning of what the rest of the game was going to be like. The best period was the 3rd. Kobe Bryant got a little birthday tune sung to him, first by a small crowd of drunk college students and by the end, the entire crowd was singing to him. He was about to shoot some free throws in the midst of the song, and was a bit distracted, poor guy. But then again, he's Kobe, he can handle it. He smiled and was a bit uncomfortable with the display of celebration from the crowd, but he shook it off and kept playing like it ain't no thang.

Kobe, LeBron and Carmelo
that's right we are on first name basis. :)

I was discussing with my fellow basketball buddy during the game that we just love LeBron James. We both were saying that we were willing to not enjoy LeBron just because of all the hype but you just can't help but LOVE him! He is amazing! I just love that he has no problem making an assist instead of show boating. But he can show off too and still be enjoyable.

And I don't know if this will get a gasp or not, but I didn't really know much, if really anything about Michael Redd (he's a guard for the Milwaukee Bucks). He now has one more fan to add to his club! He is a great player. He was hitting threes left and right. He has a pretty shot, and he is such a compliment to his team mates, that is if he's not constantly getting the ball passed to him because his team mates just wanna give him the ball!

I'm excited to watch some more games. I hope to hit up one or two more next week.
Sooo enjoyable.

I've Bop to the Top...

So. Sigh.

I'm admitting here and now that after much convincing by friends all around me, I am on the High School Musical band wagon. I enjoy some of the songs, and the movie is cute.

If I was 12...okay...even 14 I'd have a huge crush on Zac Efron* too. ;)

So I guess I got on the wagon at a good time because the 2nd High School Musical comes out this weekend (comes out...? um...will be on the Disney Channel, not in theaters). I hope I can catch it at some point.

*okay, okay, gosh...i have a crush on him now, he's a cutie, with a nice BODY! Helllloooo! :) hahaha. I feel dirty. But he's over 18 right?! hahahaha.

Bourne is NOT Boring!

Um...AMAZING! I love the Bourne movies. I am a big fan of action movies and this is a great way to end the possible Bourne series. I don't think people would be opposed to seeing a fourth, and more final Bourne movie, I know I wouldn't.

This movie is so action packed. I mean there is so much going on that they didn't talk for a good 20 minutes during the movie! That's hard to do in an action movie. You don't notice it, either. That's the great part about it!

Go see it. I heard a critic say that this is a good date movie, because girls get to watch Matt Damon and guys get the action. UM...I'm here for the action, give me a little more credit please. Granted it's a benefit that Matt Damon is in it, but it is probably is a good date movie. haha.

Go see it, I think you will enjoy.

a "draft" since...um...ahem, February

I randomly was looking at my archives and noticed that I had a "draft" that I had not posted yet. All that was in there was this photo.

I kinda forgot about this post. I think I uploaded the picture and meant to come back to it and write about it.

Oops.

I don't remember what exactly I as going to say about it. But I will say that this was a great day. This is in Colorado. We were seeing, who else but John Mayer at Red Rocks.

On my list of things to do, in this state I've never been to before, was take some nature pictures. Amy was a trooper and got up SUPER early, before the sunrise so we could let the photographer get some nature shots in. This is just one of them. There was a man fly fishing just a little up stream from us. I think we got back, ate and then slept for a crazy amount of hours, well over 4 hours. I think we were both surprised by how long we slept. Amy's mom said she popped her head in to make sure we were still breathing a time or two! haha!

I will have to go pull my other external hard drive from my PC and show you some more. Keep a look out for that.

bowling

I went bowling with four guys last night.

Just me and a bunch of dudes.

Guess who had the second biggest shoe size there.

Yeah.

Me.

[whimper, sigh]

Me and my big luau feet. haha. But still a lot of fun.
