Confession #1:
Most of my clients don't shoot inside their homes and I will admit, I was a little nervous about it. Mostly because I am unable to control the environment or can't preview it, or I haven't shot there before in the past. So being the closet perfectionist/control freak that I am, I was internally a nervous wreck to shoot at the home of Hal and Paula.
Confession #2:
I was completely NUTS (and probably still am) for being nervous! I couldn't stop telling Paula and Hal how much I loved their home. I think they were getting sick of me getting all excited about their little details, the art work, and pops of color everywhere.
Confession #3:
I am completely smitten with Paula and Hal. Rarely do you meet a couple who have the kind of love the two of them have. I think the proof is in the pictures. They really helped me remember how much I love love. Being in love, being around love, being apart of love, documenting love, feeling those pitter patters and really adoring the person you are in love with. I had a moment while shooting them when I just sighed with envy. And not an envy of jealousy, but an integral envy of hope that I will find the kind of love the two of them share with each other. I adored the way they would look at each other and talk to each other. It was really beautiful.
Here are some of those details I was talking about.
Paula and Hal,
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for allowing me to photograph you in your home. I loved it. It was an uplifting and sincere pleasure. Thank you for the reminder of why I love what I do.
:)

Hiking at Red Rock
I. am. so. Soooorry! I haven't blogged in a while.
Well here is another catch up blog. This was back in November. It was still really nice outside so hiking at Red Rock Canyon didn't seem crazy. It was a GORGEOUS day.
Here is a shot from my iPhone. I had the day off for one reason or another, but my co-workers were dying to know what I was doing while they were stuck at work, so I emailed this photo to them. They were jealous. I think with good reason. :)
I didn't use my camera very often...that's because someone else was using it (or actually stole it may be the right word) when we were hiking. But here are the two shots I got in when I actually had it in my hands! ;)
This shot was my favorite because I just love fall and leaves and the colors, and this was the most I was gonna get for the "fall" season.
Happy Friday!
