This is at Sea World in San Antonio. I just randomly found this shot and thought I'd share it.

I find it so...uh, weird I guess..how much everyone loves penguins. I think they are cool, but meh...whatever. haha! But I did like watching them swim, that was pretty sweet. They are fast little buggers in the water.

I love clouds and sunsets because they usually include lovely moments that make me grateful, hopeful and faithful of the things I have learned in life.



This picture is not from this week of rainy weather. I took it a year or two ago (while driving, of course). But the weather has made me think of this shot so I dug it up.

I should start calling it picture of the WEAK! Because it's weak how often I don't post a picture of the week! hahaha! I need to be better at it!! Add that to the list of things I will work on for 2010!

I found this very randomly. This was from 2007 when I visited my sister in Texas, when she lived closer to the coast.

I couldn't decide...black and white or color? What do you think?

Picture(s) of the "Week": Red Rock Canyon in May

I was driving home from a photo shoot not too long ago and for some reason, my car took me to Red Rock. It was like highway hypnosis. ;) I'm glad I went, it was a beautiful sunset and actually a great 30 minutes for me to take a breath and enjoy the place where I live. (did that sound cheesy? GOOD!! I wanted it to!)








Now if you follow my blog, you know that I do this pretty often. I just seem to see really good shots while I am driving! I can't help it!!! What am I suppose to do...pull over?!?! PSH!! ;) This shot just might be my favorite.

Surprisingly, the more and more I look at this picture, the more and more I like it. It's only surprising because I've seen these neon lights all my life. They are nothin' special. But this time...I'm enjoying them.

Hello friends.

I am not ignoring you or the blog. I am chin deep in editing and taking pictures. All I can say is:

Busy. Busy. Holiday. Season. Hustle. Bustle.

Here is a lil' picture of the week, which has turned into "picture of the month or so" but either way, there is still a picture involved, right?! :)



I have to tell you all something before I end this post. My boss said the other day, "yes, please check what they write, because a lot of the time people write the way they talk." I walked away chuckling to myself because most of what I write would say "duuuude" quite a bit. At the time I was thinking about work related documents.

Then I realized, I TOTALLY write the way I talk on this blog. And for that I apologize. :) hahaha! I use to be a far better writer than I am now. I was on my high school newspaper! I wanted to be a writer all the way back in 6th grade. I even started writing short stories. Then some where, some how I became the "amazing writer" you read before you today. I make up words, I have spelling mistakes, I don't use grammar correctly anymore, I elongate words like "aaaaaand" a looooot! ;) So with all that said, thank you for reading anyway!

Please keep a look out, I will try to get something else up this week!

Grandma and Grandpa Wong bought the oldest granddaughter a red wagon for her 5th birthday. And she went for a ride with her little sister.

Picture of the Week

I am a tad bit behind on the Picture of the Week. I have been super busy with a ton of post photo shoot work and my regular job, and I guess life in general (we all know about that right?! :) haha). I basically stare at a computer for 10-18 hours a day. So I think that's why I am constantly posting pictures of things related to nature. I took this last week Friday on my way home from work.

I don't know why I'm addicted to sunsets, but I am. Sunsets like this make me think of California sunsets on the beach. With the rays of sun so distinctive, it's like a picture you made in 1st grade with crayons or markers and your sun has those long and short "sticks" of sun coming out of it.

I love my drive home for the views and my chance to think about silly but lovely things like that.

This was my attempt to be creative with a picture of my dog Mandy.









She is a ball of energy and FUR! haha! She has red hair. That's all I'm saying. I had her shaved at the beginning of the summer...she looks like a completely different dog...

This was taken in my parent's front yard. My mom has an amazing green thumb. That is one thing that I won't forget about the front yard of my parent's house...it is always full of flowers, herbs and full green bushes. Even in the winter, my mom knows what flowers grown.

I am going to start a little something new. I want to stay on, if you will, my photography toes. So I have decided that once a week, I am going to post a picture that I deem "Picture of the Week"...I am keeping my self proclaimed rules pretty loose (haha), but I have decided that I am going to post once a week a picture that I am just loving. Whether it is from a photoshoot or a random picture I took on my iPhone.

Well this week is an iPhone picture. It has been crazy like weather around here with the hopeful threat of rain. Here and there it rained, since my car windows have proof with spots! As I was driving home on Summerlin Parkway, I saw the sun setting and the clouds spotted across the sky. I really enjoy the ride up Summerlin Parkway for that reason alone. So it's not necessarily about the technicality and greatness of the picture for me this week, mostly about what it represents for me.

So here is what I captured and though it has my spotty car window in the picture, I still enjoy the view I am lucky to see most days of the week on my way home from work.





Blogging has made me realize how often I seem to take pictures while I'm driving. I promise I am still a safe driver!! ;)
