If you follow Lori Wong Photography on Facebook, you knew this was coming. If you don't and just check out the blog, well, hey thanks!
Here is the contest, nothing hard, though it might be in the future!
Make a comment on THIS blog post, it doesn't have to be anything fancy and flattering, though flattery is ALWAYS accepted (hehehe), it will not get you closer to winning. And on October 1st, I will stick everyone's name in a hat that made a comment and pick a winner for the free mini shoot!
ANYONE can enter! Even if you don't live in the area and want to give this mini-shoot as a gift to someone else, I will accept that! Families, high school seniors, couples, new babies, or maybe just the kids having fun, pictures of your nieces and/or nephews, guys or gals that need to update their profile pictures or a photo shoot with a group of friends (which would be SUPER fun)...this will be AAAAAAWESOOOME!
And for proof that it will be awesome, here is Allecia. She is a recent high school graduate (link to past post of her photo shoot) and this is a picture of me making her laugh. Proof of awesomeness that will ensue.
Mini Shoot includes:
Up to one hour shoot at one location. (preferably the Las Vegas area, but I will go to St. George, UT for this contest)
Pictures posted online for viewing.
10 edited high-res pictures on a disc with full printing rights.
GOOOOOOD LUCK!! Don't forget, make a comment before October 1st!

The Elsmore Family!
I met Beth through a group of friends that I hung out with in my early 20s! (whimper. saying that line really made me feel old.) We became instant friends. We just clicked! As time went by we became really close and then Beth met Adam. Funny thing, I knew Adam before I knew Beth. Back in the day I played softball once a week with a bunch of people and Adam was one those guys! I always thought he was pretty cool, so he got a passing grade when he started dating Beth! ;) Soon they got married and left Vegas. I was so sad to lose not only one of my closest friends but one of my favorite married couples where I like BOTH of them! :) hahaha! (kidding, but really, I love them both)
I was extra excited when the Elsmore's were coming into town. I was even more excited when Beth asked that I take pictures of their family (okay, okay...I did tell her that I would have demanded to if she hadn't asked). It was GA-A-OOORGOUS outside during the photo shoot! We ran around and played in the grass. I had such a good time with their boys!
Here are some from the day:
Aaaand then we started to run around!!The artsy nerd in me loves this picture. A mom of only boys, Beth was hard to focus in on due to constantly running around! But it became a very happy accident!
Then we plopped down for a little rest! hahaha! :)I took their engagement pictures too. So it was kinda a full circle!
Loooooove this shot.
It's what I'm aaaBOUT-New Guilty Pleasure
I LOOOOOOOOVE "Giuliana & Bill", it's a reality show about the marriage of Giuliana Rancic of "E!News" and Bill Rancic, the first winner of "The Apprentice".
It's on the Style Network, Wednesday nights at 9pm.
Giuliana is hilarious! I also love that she calls her hubby by his last name all the time...I guess that she calls a lot of people by her last name, but either way, it's funny!
I love that they are normal. And by normal I mean, she says "homie" as often as I do! hahaha! And he says and does things that are like any dude would to avoid a fight or further discussion. :)

It's what I'm aaaBOUT!
If you know me, you know I say this pretty often. It's my go-to funny line when I have to convince someone that my nerdy/geeky/weird ways are actually cool. Now your asking yourself (or your computer. no judgments), "does that really work?"
It usually is a pause of confusion along with the thought of 'what does that mean?'
Then it's a chuckle of 'did she really just say that?'
Then usually they forgot what I'm aaaBOUT and they just go along with it.
Yeah.
I know.
Genius.
Well I decided that when there is something I'm diggin', something I can't live without, a new discovery that will make you happy too, ooor maybe I'm just finally catching up to the rest of the world and I want it noted officially, I'm going to blog it, and "it's what I'm aaaBOUT!"
First on my list is one of my FAVORITE websites/apps on my iPhone.
This is not a new discovery or something you probably don't know about. I'm just sharing because I love this website SO much because I am a horrible speller, I second guess myself over the simplest words and I love to make up words, so validly that the word has an actual root word, I use this website/app.

I'm sure you never noticed...
...that I haven't posted anything since, uh...whoa...JULY 11th?!?!
Wow.
Sorry.
I could go on with excuse after excuse. And really they are extremely valid. They include, going back to school, keeping up with post work (aaaand not so much with posting it) and taking about two months to move from one place to another (that was not fun, believe me)!
Anyway, (confession, I always want to put 'anyhoodle' because one of my favorite bloggers says it all the time and when she does it sounds cute and fun. But when I type it, I don't see myself actually saying it out loud so then I erase it and type 'anyway' instead)
...here are some pictures of my fun lil' day trip I took to Huntington Beach back in April with one of my friends, Jackie.
We left Vegas around 6:30am. Ate breakfast, sat on the beach and people watched (okay, I slept on the beach, but what I thought was only maybe an hour was..well, not. an. hour. But I got a lovely tan from it, eventually), walked around the pier and HB, had Chick-fil-A, and got back to Vegas around midnight. It was a LOT of fun and don't ask me why, but liberating. Oh wait, I remember why! I was on a jury for 4 days at the county court house and what was suppose to be a spur of the moment trip was post pone because of that jury duty.
Here are some pictures:
It was a tad cold in April...and no we were not the only ones wearing jackets, everyone else was too! But as you can see the beach was pretty empty.
A delicious Huntington Beach breakfast:
And just a few pictures I took as we walked around:
I really do have a lot of catching up to do. Please be on me if you are not seeing updates a lot more regularly! :)
**edit: I don't know what is up with the font on this post. sorry! I can't seem to fix it!**
