The hazards of a purse...
I am given a lot of grief, mostly from my family, for my rather large purse. But it is super cute and it holds all the stuff I need. I won't mention that sometimes it benefits them too! ;P So though I love my big purse, it does sometimes get the best of me and a little out of control.
In my rush before leaving town last weekend, I realized I didn't get to clean up my nails before going. I thought somewhere during the weekend, I could do a quick fix 'er up 'er. I threw a nail file, clippers and clear nail polish in my purse. Well, needless to say, I didn't get to my nails. Also needless to say, I forgot to take some of those things out of my purse. I remember taking the clippers and nail file out of my purse soon after I got back in town but totally forgot about the nail polish.
I must say that I have been really lucky when it comes to this purse. I think that's another reason why I can't get rid of it. Knock on wood too that it will continue to bring me good purse luck. If I ever spill/melt/loose anything in it, around it, above it, it magically stays clean or is an easy clean up. And the same goes for the nail polish I forgot to take out! My purse loves me soo much that when the nail polish started to leak, the coins that I try so hard to not let get to the bottom of my purse collected and kept the leak enclosed. There was twice as much nail polish in there!! There is also a partial gum wrapper on there that I think also control the leak.
Ladies, I know you are totally relating to me right now. Or at least pleeeeaaase tell me I'm not the only one who has had one of these moments! :)
Jordan is one!
I can't believe that Jordan is one. She turned one last month, but they weren't able to come and visit until this weekend. Jordan is T-H-E happiest baby. She is such a good little girl and so loving. She is walking...I mean running around now. She is teething, so as you will see in all the pictures she slobbering all over herself! Poor kid! :) Her happy disposition is so great. I miss them so much and wish they lived closer.
Here are a few from just two hours of being around her...I probably snapped over 300 pictures. Yes, I'm THAT crazy auntie! hahaha.
The CUTEST THING! She discovered her reflection in the bumper of grandpa's truck.
I'm sure I'll show more once the weekend is over.

I call dibs!!!
No not that kind...this kind!
Seriously...these things are delicious. And addicting. I tried them on a whim, and they are great.
I wish I could say they are good for you, but they are not. But they seriously hit a spot. I think they are perfect when you want a lot of ice cream but know you shouldn't. They come in a small container and when you are about half way through you are starting to feel that fullness that I think you wouldn't after a bowl of three scoops, you know what I mean?!!?
Try them. They are the goods.
(I've only had the Crunch flavor. I'm not sure what all the flavors are though)

Vacation Food...
You know when you are on vacation, for some reason, you are unable to have logic with your food choices?! I mean that along the sense of that you don't eat right, or stop when you know you should, or just eat the junkiest stuff?! Well that's what I did this past weekend. BUT I did discover some freeeeaak-ing awesome food.
Case in point:
My new sister-in-law, her family lives not from far from this place in Lemon Grove, California. Oh. So. GOOOOD! This place is such a hole in the wall kind of place. And it almost seems a little scary to go into, but seriously, the food was soooooo good. If I am around there again, we are going. No question.
And I also stopped off at The Mad Greek Cafe, on the way home from California. In Baker...
We only hit up some chocolate shakes. They were quite tasty.

Takin' it back!
So I was putting together a slide show of pictures for my brother's wedding. You know that slide show of the bride and groom's lives before they met and then pictures of them hugging and being all happy and in love?! Well though the pictures are mostly of him, there are a few in there that involve your's truly. And whoa, though a ton of fun to look at and laugh with my family, my hair was out of control! I was quite a tom-boy and loved to run around with my older and younger brother (since I'm in the middle of the two) so I pretty much had a fro of tangled mess! It was awesome!
So here are a few of my favorites...
(look at the old school remote control!)
(My two brothers! We are all tan from summer fun.)
(me and Kyle, look how cute we are swimmin'!!!! I was 5, and Kyle was 1)
(Aaaaawee! We are soooo cute together. I just love Kyle's hard noddle necklace)
(This was a Polaroid, I wish you could see better my crazy messy hair. It is quite a mop, but duuude, check out my Mom!!! Those glasses are out-of-control-COOL!!)

Friday's Lunch with Darius
We had lunch at Wolf Gang Puck's restaurant at the Springs Preserve. It was a really nice day so we ate outside on their patio. The food was great, the company even better and a means to an end for Darius.
I have worked with Darius 3 years now. He is a professional photographer and is amazing at what he does. I have learned a lot from him and he keeps me up on the latest and greatest. I will now have to keep up on my own! Darn!
Here are a few others of my co-workers...I think they thought since Darius didn't get out his camera they were safe...but nope, I'm here too!
Thanks for all the knowledge and help, Darius. I will miss our photography conversations and I don't know if you know this, but I would peek over your shoulder here and watch you whiz around Photoshop. I'll miss that too! :)

what my name means...so "they" say...
So my friends, do YOU think they got it right? Is this me? I think there are some things that are definitely me, almost scary, but other things NOT me at all.
Lori Wong Means:
You are relaxed, chill, and very likely to go with the flow.
You are light hearted and accepting. You don't get worked up easily.
Well adjusted and incredibly happy, many people wonder what your secret to life is.
You are well rounded, with a complete perspective on life.
You are solid and dependable. You are loyal, and people can count on you.
At times, you can be a bit too serious. You tend to put too much pressure on yourself.
You are wild, crazy, and a huge rebel. You're always up to something.
You have a ton of energy, and most people can't handle you. You're very intense.
You definitely are a handful, and you're likely to get in trouble. But your kind of trouble is a lot of fun.
You tend to be pretty tightly wound. It's easy to get you excited... which can be a good or bad thing.
You have a lot of enthusiasm, but it fades rather quickly. You don't stick with any one thing for very long.
You have the drive to accomplish a lot in a short amount of time. Your biggest problem is making sure you finish the projects you start.
You are very charming... dangerously so. You have the potential to break a lot of hearts.
You know how what you want, how to get it, and that you will get it.
You have the power to rule the world. Let's hope you're a benevolent dictator!
You are very intuitive and wise. You understand the world better than most people.
You also have a very active imagination. You often get carried away with your thoughts.
You are prone to a little paranoia and jealousy. You sometimes go overboard in interpreting signals.
You are deeply philosophical and thoughtful. You tend to analyze every aspect of your life.
You are intuitive, brilliant, and quite introverted. You value your time alone.
Often times, you are grumpy with other people. You don't appreciate them trying to interfere in your affairs.
(you know how I don't like not having pictures in blogs, but I'm feeling very self conscious of having a picture of me up, though it wouldn't make sense not to. I'm just letting you know, it's kinda driving me crazy! haha!)
